Published by Ward, Lock & Co. as part of the "Sunshine Series", this edition of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland was specially adapted for young readers with a simplified and shortened version of the original text.

It features 24 selected coloured illustrations by Margaret Tarrant, originally published in the 1910s.
Tarrant was a beloved illustrator active in the early 20th century, known for her delicate depictions of fairies and children.

Her work remains highly collectable and continues to be cherished by fans today.

• There are some marks and stains on the cover, and the corners show signs of wear.
  While there are no missing pages, the first illustrated page has come loose (see photo 2).
  Other pages show signs of age, including small stains, creases, and minor tears.
  One page has a small amount of writing or scribble (see photo 7).
  The spine is slightly lifted, and in some places the pages open widely, revealing the inner binding.

  These condition issues are reflected in the price, and we recommend this book to those who appreciate the charm of antique editions.
