A small heart-shaped box made from mother of pearl.

During the Victorian period, small cases of this size were popular as pill boxes or snuff boxes, and mother of pearl was a particularly favoured material.
This piece dates from that era and is especially rare in a heart shape. Despite the heart motif, its restrained and simple design gives it a refined, elegant feel.

こちらはその時代のもので、さらに珍しいハート型。ハートモチーフでありながら、装飾を抑えたシンプルな佇まいが洗練された印象を与えます。
