An antique jewelry box made of thick, cut glass—this particular piece is exceptionally rare, featuring both glass stones and micro mosaic detailing on its lid.

Two of the lid’s angled panels are adorned with shimmering glass stones while the front showcases a delicate micro mosaic of small blue flowers reminiscent of forget-me-nots.

Inside, a dusty blue silk-like cushion lines the base, with matching fabric also set into the underside of the lid.

The cut glass sides show significant chipping, lending a worn, timeworn charm. A truly rare design combining both micro mosaic and glass stones.

• The lid closes with a satisfying click, though a slight gap remains even when shut. There are visible chips in the micro mosaic as well as in several areas of the cut glass (see photos 11–16). The brass framework holding the glass panels has developed tarnish over time, and the sections with glass stones on the lid reveal tarnishing beneath the surface brass plate. The silk cushion inside shows significant ageing, with the fabric fibres appearing streaked and worn. The fabric on the inside of the lid is less deteriorated but has a small hole.Overall, this piece has considerable wear and damage, but is highly recommended for those who appreciate the character and patina that come with true antique charm.

厚みのあるカットグラスで作られたアンティークのジュエリーボックス。中でもこちらは、蓋部分にグラスストーンとマイクロモザイクが施された、非常に珍しい一点です。

蓋には2面にわたってグラスストーンが敷き詰められ、正面には勿忘草を思わせる小さなブルーの花のマイクロモザイクが添えられています。

内側には、くすんだブルーのシルクと思われるクッションが敷かれ、蓋裏にも同じ素材が用いられています。

側面のガラスには欠けが多く、全体にシャビーな風合いがありますが、それも含めてアンティークの味わい。マイクロモザイクとグラスストーンの両方を備えたデザインは極めて稀少です。

• 蓋はカチッと閉まりますが、閉じた状態でもわずかに隙間があります。マイクロモザイクには欠けが見られ、カットグラスにも複数の欠けがあります（写真11〜16参照）。グラスを固定している真鍮の骨組みは経年により変色しており、蓋部分のグラスストーンが付いたパネルには、下地の真鍮プレートの変色が透けて見えます。内側のシルククッションは劣化が進み、繊維が筋状に浮き出たような状態です。蓋内側のファブリックはクッションほどの劣化はありませんが、小さな穴が見られます。全体的にかなりのダメージがありますが、アンティークならではの風合いや時間の経過を味わっていただける方におすすめです。
