The mosaic glass decorating the clover features subtle color gradations, while the small glass pieces set into each corner of the frame are accented with star-like designs—showcasing the piece's refined craftsmanship and attention to detail.

細かな飾りが飾られたダイヤ型のフレームの中に、三つ葉のクローバーが入ったブローチ。

クローバーを彩るモザイクグラスにはグラデーションが入っていたり、フレームの四隅の小さなグラスには星が入っていたりと、細かなこだわりが感じられます。

三つ葉のシャムロック（クローバー）はアイルランドの象徴。アイルランドの聖人、聖パトリックが三位一体を説明するのにシャムロックを使ったことに由来します。その前から古代ケルト人はシャムロックに似た三脚巴のシンボルを使用していました。四つ葉と同じで幸運のシンボルであり、また、不滅を意味します。ヴィクトリア朝時代には、この三つ葉に「希望・信仰・愛」の三大徳（theological virtues）を象徴させる解釈も広まり、ジュエリーなどの装飾にも多く使われました。
